Sticky Post: Faintly Friends Only
I always kept all of my entries public out of some kind of determined vulnerability (the desire to wear my heart on my sleeve) but it's been over two years since I updated here, and in some ways I'm now quite a different, more private, person. So most new entries will still be public, but if you happen to want to read the ramblings of my 15 to 20-year-old self, and the more personal bletherings of the present, leave a comment here and let me know :)
If you're stumbling upon this journal for the first time: hello! Here are five semi-pertinent facts about me: my favourite foods are inari zushi, okonomiyaki, and roasted red pepper pasta; I read a lot of (fan)fiction about guys falling madly in love with one another; I'm hoping to become a Japanese-French-English translator; I think I'm possibly a Gryffindor, even though I always wanted to be a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff; and I would like to one day be able to run a marathon.

Haha yeah, I do actually have a facebook but under a fake name and it hasn't been used in some years. Oh dear lord, I have NO idea what that was supposed to say! The drawbacks of using phones as computers. And my one is normally so good at working out what I actually meant. I so want to hear all about the places you've been and the things you've done! Must have been a particularly exciting few years. Are you all finished up with uni & everything? How about Stacia? We do still plan tohead over there. Alas, will be a few years away now. Would be so cool if you could ever squeeze in a trip to NZ! Would have to show you around everywhere!

I will definitely be making a few posts in the coming weeks about various goings on, complete with excessive numbers of photos :D Toulouse is looking lovely in the winter sunshine, so that will certainly be appearing on your flist spammily. I'm not sure if I said this somewhere else, but we're actually here because Stacia's doing her Masters here. The plan is then to head back to Edinburgh again for her to do a phD, fingers crossed that funding falls into place... NZ is indeed somewhere that Stacia and I would both like to visit! It would be amazing to have the proper guided tour :D And to meet you and your burgeoning family!
What're your holiday plots and plans? Is everything even more completely hectic with such things flying around in addition to the under-twos? If I don't come on here between now and Christmas, Merry Christmas to all four of you! ♥

Elyas is actually a far more laid back baby so far, though not hard because Lewis was such a nightmare baby. He's really smiley and chatty though, in that cooing way that babies have, so cute!
Have to say, so glad to hear you and Stacia are together still, always get warm fuzzies hearing stuff like that ♥ one of these days might try a white Christmas, but that'll be a way off. Normally we have FOUR Christmas things to go to, but we're skipping the first two this year because the babies just wouldn't cope. So we'll do the family present time (so excited to give lewis his), then do lunch and dinner after a quiet morning.
Should you guys ever make it I would love to show you around! Would be very cool =D

Gleehehe, baby cooing is extremely endearing! Glad to hear that he is taking it easy :)
:D! It'll be five years in a few months, somewhat mind-bogglingly! (I keep forgetting how old I am when people ask... o.O) Man, what are your normal four events?! Skipping two sounds like a definite plan! What did you get Lewis?? Did all go smoothly with minimal tiring-out-of-the-babies? I hope it was lovely!
If and when that day occurs, I will have been spamming you with emails about it for months in advance, never fear :DD *cacklecackle*

How was your Christmas & everything? We're doing really well, tiny baby is teething (ick) and older one is turning 2 in about 3 weeks and omg Elyas just rolled over for the first time right now haha.
Exciting news (or possibly mad, I'm not quite sure), but I'm gonna be shaving my head to raise money for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer NZ. No idea what my head will look like, but hopefully can raise a wee bit =D
How are things in France, still going well? And how are ya feeling? ♥

My latest Christmas/New Year/life blatherings post with added photos is just for you :D How was Lewis Therin's birthday? And how is the teething going now? Ahh, I feel strangely as though I was somehow very slightly party to Elyas' first roll-over :DDD
Oooohh, when is the head-shaving happening? Have you raised a bit so far? Do you have an online donation thingmy? I could maybe push a pitiful amount in your direction, especially if there were going to be pictures... >:D
Things are going well indeed :) Still taking mental dives now and again, but still also coming up from them, and that second stage is becoming more and more optimistic each time it happens.

Head shave has happened! It is very odd feeling, but getting used to it now. Got photos on my fundraising page here :-)
I am so glad to hear that! It is hard, but if you're seeing the progress you're definitely on the right track :-) ♥

Have donated the rather random amount of $9, haha! That was such an awesome thing to do - I like the idea of trying to get one person for each sufferer of such diseases, as that seems like a really strong message of solidarity and showing that these people haven't been forgotten about. It's good to see that the event is getting bigger and bigger :) In more frivolous terms, I think you really suit it! Your eyes look really huge, and, weird as this may sound, you have a very elegant skull-shape! :D!
